Two Northwest members, Jay Kiskel and Helen Borland, spent several hours on June 17,
2015 at the Andover-Harvard Theological Library in Cambridge, MA exploring UU history.
Specifically, they were researching the UU archives for the earliest decisions made by the American Unitarian Association (AUA) to establish a Unitarian church in Atlanta.
Helen poured over paper records and Jay reviewed microfilm reels containing hand written meeting minutes of the AUA Board of Directors recorded in the early 1880’s.
Their findings will be added to the UU Digital Archive records. The UU Digital Archive is an ever-expanding online repository of original records reflecting efforts in the late 1800’s by local Atlanta Unitarians and Universalists to establish churches in Atlanta.
