SPECIAL DOCUMENTARY NIGHT
We will have another Special Virtual Documentary Night on SUNDAY, March 6th at 7 pm. This event in honor of Women’s History Month is in collaboration with the Georgia Tech Student Planning Association. We will be discussing the documentary, Making Space: Five Women Changing The Face of Architecture. This film is about five dynamic and accomplished female architects all rising stars in what has been an all-male galaxy; Annabelle Selldorf (New York), Marianne McKenna (Toronto), Kathryn Gustafson (Seattle and London), Farshid Moussavi (London), and Odile Decq (Paris). For this event we will have a special Q&A with the architect, Annabelle Selldorf. Here is a link to where you can watch it for free. https://vimeo.com/171141921 For this Special Virtual Documentary Night we will also be joined by architect, Annabelle Selldorf for a Q&A.
Contact Adam Hicks at communitydocumentarynight@gmail.com for the link to the discussion.
SUCCESS!
The Stewardship Committee is happy to report that soup sales from February were “Souper”! Thanks to all who made their favorite recipes, including Ranger cookies and homemade bread, we netted $710. Thanks also to everyone who made purchases; we hope you enjoyed every bite.
2022-2023 PLEDGE DRIVE IS HERE!
The Stewardship Committee is pleased to announce that we will be kicking off the 2022-2023 pledge drive Sunday, March 6. This year’s theme is “Don’t Stop Believin’!” As a congregation, we have met and continue to meet the challenges presented by the last couple of years. Rising to the challenge of these times requires perseverance, courage, and the steadfast belief in each other and in the importance of the work we do at Northwest! Don’t stop believing in the impact of our congregation and the future we can create together with the generous donation of our offerings and the best of who we are. Please be on the lookout for this year’s pledge information on the Stewardship tab of the Northwest website for information on how you can get involved.
NWUUC Book Groupies
The NWUUC Book Groupies will meet on Zoom Tuesday, March 8th at 7 pm to discuss Anxious People by Fredrik Backman. This novel, as best described by a quote from the Washington Post “captures the messy essence of being human …It’s clever and affecting. As likely to make you laugh out loud as it is to make you cry.” Truly, a breath of fresh air after the last two years!
If you would like to join us for this book discussion on Zoom, please leave a message for Penny Raney with your name and email address at 770 551 8817 so we can send you the link. If you would like a copy of the book, leave that message too with your email or telephone number.

MARCH GLADNESS!!
CIRCLE DINNER: MARCH 12TH – 6:00 PM
Living more openly with each other is now happening! Of course, we are Vaxed & Boosted, because we care about each other’s wellness….and this is required for participation in Circle Dinner gatherings.
The concept is easy. We gather at a NWUUC member’s home. They provide the place, set up for dining and serving and provide the drinks. (Coffee, Tea, Water, or other choices)
The guests provide the meal. This is great because you get to sample various chefs’ specialties. Guests have their choice of bringing the EntrĂ©e, Salad & Rolls, Veggie, Appetizers or Dessert.
Guests contact your host to let them know what you would like to bring. That way, all courses will be covered, and not duplicated.
Take pictures that evening so we can all enjoy seeing your dinner events in the newsletter!
Stay safe and healthy, because we want to see you really soon!
