July 7th – Come hear Atlanta’s Rising Stars in an intimate listening venue! These young singer-songwriters write from the heart and perform with passion, style, and technique! Each one of the artists selected has already made their mark in the Atlanta area and beyond, and appreciate a supportive and attentive audience like the Hungry Ear Coffeehouse. This is an all original, acoustic show, with a few special surprises! This month’s Emerging Artists Showcase features Aspen Anonda, Carter Horne, and Kate Coleman!
First Up: Aspen Anonda! Originally from Atlanta, newly-based Athens artist, Aspen Anonda found her love for music at a very young age. When she picked up a guitar at nine years old, she began performing and instantly knew it was right. Like any good artist, her style is continuously changing, but Aspen enjoys mixing jazzy melodies with pop lyrics to pull her listeners in. Aspen has featured for many bands in venues such as Smith’s Olde Bar, Madlife Stage & Studios, and Eddie’s Attic. She was also recently named “Teen Artist of the Year” by the GA Country Awards.
