Welcome the Amazing Spud Brothers and Frank Hamilton & Friends at the Hungry Ear Coffee HouseTM, Saturday, June 4!

The Amazing Spud Brothers draw from the best of Old Ireland to the hollows of Appalachia, and more! Uilleann piper/wooden flutist John Maschinot and singer/multi-instrumentalist Evan Kinney hold forth with foot tapping, hand clapping tunes and songs from the old world and the new. And Jesse “Mr. Fancy Pants” Edgerton rocks the stage with his percussion and “flat-foot” style dancing—the old time American version of clogging. And, with a name like The Amazing Spud Brothers you know there’s lots of fun onstage!

Frank Hamilton and Friends bring Americana folk music to the Hungry Ear. Hamilton is a folk music legend who recently started a school of folk music in Atlanta, based on the very successful Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago, which he also co-founded. He learned to play the harmonica from Woody Guthrie, toured with Guy CarawFrank Hamilton performers on stagean and performed with The Weavers. Playing with him on June 4 will be Max Godfrey (fiddle), John Harvey (guitar), Pam Deener (mandolin) and Fritz Raushenberg (guitar.

Doors open at 7:30 pm; the show starts at 8:00. Still only $5 (or more if you like) donation. Canned good contributions for the Community Assistance Center are encouraged.
