The Northwest Book Groupies will meet at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, March 11 to discuss The Spider’s House by Paul Bowles. Set in Fez, Morocco, this modern classic explores Bowles’ recurrent themes of the outsider in foreign environments and misunderstandings arising from cultural differences. Written in 1955, The Spider’s House is still considered “shockingly relevant to today’s political situation in the Middle East and elsewhere.”
