Safety During Construction

Storage of materials – The contractor will have a staging area in the
parking lot for materials and equipment. It is imperative that every
person respect the boundaries, fencing, and signs that will be in place
during the project. The materials and equipment will, understandably, be objects of curiosity, but we must not enter the spaces that are
restricted.

Children – We have an abundance of curiosity at
Northwest, and we do encourage it in our children. This is one time that we need to take care that curiosity doesn’t cause dangerous situations. During construction, if anyone observes a child crossing the fencing installed by the contractor, or otherwise heading toward what might be dangerous, we ask that you step in to protect the child.

Storage – Some items will need to be moved during at least part of the project. Sai Baba, our long-time and very important tenant, has many things stored in our large closets. These items, and others, will be moved to the Art Gallery. We do not anticipate that the entire Art Gallery will be needed. However, the functioning of this space will be impacted temporarily.

Parking-The staging area for the contractor will require the use of some parking spaces. Given our typical use of the spaces, for ourselves and renters, we do not anticipate running out of space.
