Learning for All Ages Programming

Our children’s religious education and adult learning programming, called Second Hour, begins at 11:30 am – except during summer months. This time between our services gives us all new opportunities for kids’ religious education, adult classes, social justice programs and socializing.

Worship Services

Unitarian Universalism draws inspiration from many sources. Worship services may include stories, scripture, poetry, proverbs and other readings that reflect the rich heritage of human spirituality. In addition, most services include a time for sharing personal joys and concerns, a sermon (usually, but not always, by the minister), and focused time for meditation, reflection or prayer. Music provides a vital component to our worship, raising our spirits, and expressing emotions and connection that cannot be put in words. Musical contributions from the choir, our Music Director, and other talented musicians from the congregation as well as special guests form an integral part of our service.

Children participate in the first part of the worship service with their families, then go to an organized activity hour followed by Religious Education Programs in the Chalice House. Nursery and toddler care is available.

Summer Programming

The summer schedule does not include Second Hour, Activity Time or Religious Education. After the service’s Story Wisdom, the children will go to the Chalice House and participate in a Reduce, Reuse, Recycle program. Children’s Religious Education classes resume in August.

What to Wear

Be comfortable! Dress for services is casual and comfortable.

Our Volunteers

An active team of lay Worship Associates participates in planning services with the minister in the service and leads our worship when the minister is away. These volunteers provide thoughtful reflections during many of our services.

Coffee Hour

We invite all visitors to join us for coffee or any of our Second Hour activities following the service.
