We All Have Our Tribes

Let us remember that our ultimate goal of Unitarian Universalism is to create a table that seats all comers. We have much work to do to create such a Beloved Community. When we awaken ourselves to the fact that many of us have benefitted from our culture at the expense of others in the past, we make some more room to achieve the Beloved Community in our congregation and the Unitarian Universalist denomination.

Picking Up the Pieces

I’m slightly grateful that this political uproar has created an environment where passions are rising so high that it’s difficult, or near impossible, to follow that “no politics” rule.  How can I be honest about my passions and politics without jeopardizing my relationships? How do I bring my efforts inward–focusing on the love I share, with my dad, and others, and not let my relationships be permanently scarred?
