May Hungry Ear: Curtis & Kim Jones + BRiSA

Join us for a Cinco de Mayo celebration with the incredible Curtis Jones (with Kim Jones), and the beautiful music of BRiSA (Barbara Hotz – accompanied by Jonathan McBee)!

BRiSA
Brisa brings a taste of Latin music to Hungry Ear on the eve of Cinco de Mayo. Brisa, “gentle wind” in Spanish, is the stage name of Barbara Hotz. If you’ve seen the movie “Roma”, you’ve seen Barbara’s life. Born and raised in Mexico City, Barbara began sharing her music with other artists at an early age and several songs were recorded by artists of the day. She has been singing and writing songs all her life, some of which can be found on her two CD’s. Currently, Brisa shares original and traditional Mexican music with diverse audiences in the Latin community and at local coffeehouses. Come listen to Brisa bring the pathos and beauty of the Mexican experience to life with her grace, voice, and guitar. More from Brisa can be found on her Facebook page BRiSA@barbhotzmusician
