Book Groupies Explore River of Doubt, October 14

The Northwest UU Book Groupies will be meeting Tuesday, October 14 at 7:00 pm in the Art Gallery to discuss River of Doubt: Theodore Roosevelt’s Darkest Journey.

Shortly after his defeat for a third presidential term in 1912, Roosevelt assembled a group for the first descent of an uncharted, rapids-choked tributary of the Amazon River. This a gripping true tale of adventure in an ecologically diverse South American jungle and the mettle of our 26th president.

The Northwest Book Groupies meet the second Tuesday of most months in the Art Gallery. All readers are welcome. River of Doubt is available in Northwest’s Bellwether Bookstore. Ask Faye Mann or Marilyn Matlock for a copy this Sunday (at 15% off!) and join us on the 14th for a lively discussion!
