What an amazing and energizing day we’ve had! The speaker at the Ware Lecture was Eboo Patel, renowned interfaith leader, who shared stories of his work and showed us how Americans from George Washington to Martin Luther King were ” interfaith leaders”. When he finished speaking I was left feeling as if I could listen to him for another hour and still want more. Such an engaging speaker!
Then we celebrated in a Synergy worship service where over 50 youth “bridged” into young adulthood. I have dreams that when our next group of Northwest youth reach this stage we can celebrate this rite of passage with them at a General Assembly in the future.
Saturday we delegates will cast our votes to elect the new Moderator of our Association.
