Northwest's very own bookstore started with used books and magazines. Now our collection includes new books. We specialize in books with favorite UU topics and those from UU presses(Beacon and Skinner House). We encourage suggestions and donations from our Northwest community. The bookstore is open briefly before Sunday services and again afterwards. All proceeds from the 12 year old bookstore go to Northwest. If you are interested in volunteering in the bookstore you can speak with us during normal operating hours or contact Penny Raney 770-551-8817 or Marian Lynch, 770-396-3215. Bookstore volunteers serve one Sunday a month.
Northwest Book Groupies The NWUUC Book Groupies will meet October 11 to discuss The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society by Mary Ann Shaffer. This novel has been called " a homage to booklovers and a nostalgic portrayal of an era." The action takes place on an English island under German occupation during World War II . The book has been wildly popular. |
