Karen LoBracco

Karen LoBracco joined the staff at Northwest in June of 2005, coming with eight years of experience in religious education.  At Northwest she works in partnership with the Religious Education Committee, other staff, and a multitude of volunteers.

Karen embraces a hands-on, holistic vision of religious education.  Religion is not something we just learn about, but also something we feel and live.  To her Unitarian Universalism has a life-affirming and saving message for both individuals as well as the world.  As Director of Religious Education she supports parents as the primary religious educators of their children, and the congregation as an agent of transformation.

A half-time employee, Karen is present most Sundays (except in the summer) and keeps office hours during the week.  In addition she serves on the Mid-South District Board of Trustees and chairs the MSD Religious Education Committee, is a Good Officer with the Liberal Religious Educators Association, and is active in the local UU community.  Karen is actively engaged in the UUA’s RE Credentialing Program at the Master’s level.  She has two children attending Georgia Tech, and lives in Roswell with her husband and two cats.

Karen welcomes your questions and interest in religious education at Northwest!
