A Unique Facility for Rent

  • Sanctuary, reception area, and grounds are open and inviting to people of all faiths
  • May arrange with our minister, Rev. Dr. James H. Macomber for a warm, relationship-centered ceremony or bring your own clergy
  • Mixed religious services and commitment ceremonies are welcome at Northwest
  • No restrictions on photographers or videographers
  • Seating is adjustable to suit your desired configuration
  • Lighting is adjustable from bright to a soft glow
  • 24 foot square dance floor in the sanctuary/reception room
  • Meeting spaces available to chose from to meet your needs

Sanctuary Rental

  • This space is very popular for weddings, meetings, and parties. The maximum seating for the Sanctuary is 175. However, for wedding & reception combinations, it’s best suited for 50 to 125 people
  • For parties and picnics, using both indoor and outdoor areas, there is room for up to 200 people
  • The facility is available Saturdays and Sundays after 2 pm (the fee for 2 pm – 12 am weddings and parties - includes a two hour rehearsal time during the week)
  • Our facility is also available weekdays and evenings for business or social meetings, conferences, events, parties, or picnics

Rental includes: (some subject to additional fees)

  • grand piano
  • sound system for mood music
  • microphones
  • 175 padded chairs
  • tables: 9+ eight foot and 9+ six foot x 2.5 foot rectangular folding tables
  • 9 three foot square tables
  • 100 folding chairs
  • kitchen: 2 microwave ovens, 2 electric ovens, range, several coffee pots
  • dressing room
  • nursery/toddler room
  • Chalice House room and risers for picture taking (when available and arranged in advance)

Chalice House Rental

  • This space is very popular for educational seminars, workshops and children’s parties. Rooms can be rented individually or the entire building can be rented.
  • There are three classroom spaces available. Two have tables and are ideal for meetings and another has couches for a more casual and comfortable setting.
  • Another room starts with no furniture (37 x 20) and can be configured to meet your needs (can seat 40 people in a circle or 67 theatre style).

Please note:

  • Dates will be reserved only after receiving your deposit
  • Cancellations are subject to loss of your deposit
  • No cash bars are allowed, you may serve your own alcohol
  • No smoking indoors. Please use the butt cans outside and refrain from throwing butts into the landscaping
  • NWUUC staff will provide orientation/tour for caterers, decorators, and family prior to the event by appointment
  • No very loud music or noise to disturb our neighbors
  • Will need to arrange on your own set up, tear down and clean up back to original condition
  • Based on availability, the Congregation Sexton can be hired to assist in setting up for the ceremony, party, or meeting and resetting the facility afterwards for an additional fee of $25 per hour.

 

and when renting:

  • Recommend that you estimate your labor and materials needs, then double it
  • No adhesives anywhere, tacks can be used on the wood but not the walls
  • Bring your own dish-washing and clean-up supplies (bring plenty of wash cloths and rags)
  • Bring your own foil, plastic wrap, paper towels, and trash bags (55 gallon and tall kitchen sizes)
  • Facility will be brought back to the condition it was found
  • Do not put liquids into the trash bags
  • Church kitchenware may not be used
  • Watch for and clean up spills on the floor or furnishings ASAP to avoid stains.  (Bring terry cloth towels or rags for this purpose.)
