Rev. Dr. James H. Macomber

  Jim Macomber

Rev. Jim comes to us most recently from the UU Fellowship at Stony Brook on Long Island, NY and previously from the Unitarian Church of Los Alamos, NM, where he served from 2002-6, and as a consulting minister at the Greater Nashville UU Congregation.

As seems true for most UU pastors these days, ministry is Jim's second career (or is it third?).  He finished his doctorate in business administration in 1978 at Kent State University and taught at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga for 24 years.  Acting on a sense of calling that had been nagging at him since high school, Jim began seminary in 1997 as a part-time student at the Vanderbilt Divinity School in Nashville while he continued to teach.
