Letter – David Rankin to Roger Comstock Support for Purchase of Camp (May 10, 1979)

Dear Roger:

I am greatly excited over the idea of having a summer camp/religious retreat for Unitarian Universalists in the Southeast. I hope your plans bear heavy fruit.

It is clear that our smaller churches and fellowships will benefit- since they often need to meet with other Unitarian-Universalists to compare notes and share ideas. But I also think the larger churches, like UUCA, will find the retreat useful for developing a sense of community. All of the societies in the Southeast will share in the results.

If I can be of any aid in promoting the concept or in fund-raising activities, please do not hesitate to call.  I see the Southeast as the growing edge of the Unitarian-Universalist movement – and I appreciate your role in planning for a bright future.

Sincerely,
