Members of the board were divided in sections to attend "all sales conducted by ladies of the church at night." The adopted motion noted that the men should attend "for protection and encouragement to the ladies." Archivist Note: A large race riot had occurred in Atlanta Sept 22 - 24, 1906. The reference to "protection" may have been a concern over these riots. If a member of the board did not attend an appointed ladies meeting, he would be fined $1.00. Board also reviewed Treasurer's report and ordered several vouchers drawn to pay bills.
