Taking Care of Ourselves Series Starts Sept. 21

Our Unitarian Universalist Principles encourage us, in part, to recognize the inherent worth of every person, to be accepting, and to have respect for the interdependent web of existence to which we all belong. But sometimes we become so focused on applying these principles to others that we forget to include ourselves. Join Northwest member Janie Pospishil in a series of three facilitated discussions on the importance of self-care.

The series will begin with Taking Care of Ourselves – Inherent Worth and Self-Love on September 21. This session will focus on discovering an exploratory exercise that fosters unconditional worth and self-love.

On September 28, the topic will be Taking Care of Ourselves – Acceptance.
Janie states that “acceptance of what is” will reduce struggles and generate more peace, both inwardly and outwardly.

The final session in this series, Caring for Me Helps the Web of Life, is scheduled for October 5.
