The 20-minute animated movie, The Story of Stuff, was originally released in December 2007. It’s a fast-paced, fact-filled look at the underside of our production and consumption patterns. Viewed by 40 million people, it and other videos developed by Annie Leonard and Free Range Studios suggested ways we could change some things, but there was not one all-encompassing solution aimed at the core the problem–until now.
Their new (short) film, The Story of Solutions, explores how we can move our economy in a more sustainable and just direction, starting with orienting ourselves toward a new goal. Instead of cheering for an unendingly growing economy and more stuff, we can cheer for better–better health, better jobs, and a better chance to survive on the planet.
